It's too late to talk him down. The bear has had a taste of freedom, however limited, and he's not ready to give it up when he knows the world is waiting for him to come break it. He scents a human -- Daine!, some desperate, buried part of him supplies -- and turns his beady eyes on her, teeth bared. He takes a few steps toward her, wary of the silver on her neck -- but what's one little necklace when he's gone through three barriers of silver? Abruptly, he charges.
