Daine keeps an eye on him as she wheels through the corridors, letting him close the gap a bit. You'll have to catch me, first, she says. She can tell he's pushing himself, and part of her is glad - maybe it won't be so difficult to wear him out - but she's worried, too, that he might decide to try for easier prey than her. She slows, allowing him to draw even closer, but still keeping herself out of range of his paws.
