He probably isn't the best person the TARDIS could have chosen if she's looking for someone to explain the finer points of monetary systems. His particular abilities make it very easy to fudge totals and fake payments. He's perfectly happy to accompany her, though. They've yet to explore any part of the city together, and he'd like to see how she reacts to everyday life in Manhattan.
