Daine blinks. She's gazed at other planets through a telescope before, but this is the first she's heard of people living on them. At least soldiers are familiar territory, though she still isn't sure she necessarily wants to meet this Kuiv. She's just a bit curious to see what she looks like.

As they approach the entrance, Daine slows, growing apprehensive. She doesn't like the thought of there being barriers between her and the way out, and this looks like a good bit more than a simple door or gate. Yuri might have said that she'd be free to leave if she wanted--or implied it, anyway--but this door, with its visible locks, says something very different.
