Giving Almondine the sign to stay put - he won't be long, and he'll move more quickly without her and her three shadows - Edgar heads for the kitchens. It seems he isn't the first to come looking for water and food bowls, but he's able to get a large box full just the same. He returns to find Daine in the same spot, and sets the box beside her so she can see its contents. Almondine sits up to poke her nose into the box, sniffing around curiously.

I'm not sure how many we're going to need, but this should at least get us started.
