The world shakes. As Seth scrambles back to his feet, Godzilla notices him. It turns to face him, it's great head nearly level with the top of the building, its eye narrowing in recognition.

It inhales, and exhales fire in Seth's direction. The blue-hot flames move too quickly across the rooftop for him to escape. The air heats quickly and it seems that Seth is doomed to a worse fate than Gabriel.

At the last moment, something happens. The bow that Seth is holding projects a forcefield surrounding him. It holds as long as the flames do. In the charred remains of the rooftop, Seth is still alive and close enough to Godzilla for a decent shot.
