"Hello," Peeta echoes, smile mirroring Daine's. "And hello to you," he adds, squatting to give the dogs a quick pet. Greetings made, he stands again and steps back to allow Daine and the dogs into the hallway.

"I have everything I need," he says in reply to Daine's question, hoisting his own bag.
