"You don't have to-" Johnny starts to say, but Seth's already headed him off at the pass, and he feels a swell of gratitude. At the questions he lets out a genuine laugh.

"I think you're safe," he says. "Gabe's never complained, anyway."

Oh. Did he just... out himself? That's a thing, right? He may have just done that. Well, no point being weird about it. He shoves his hands in his pockets and shuffles along after Seth.
