Seth is not particularly good at offering emotional support beyond, well, "Sorry." Particularly not while mildly inebriated. But he has a feeling it wouldn't make much difference, so he just offers some chips again. If neither Gabe nor the TARDIS can do something, chances are Seth can't either.
