"And my head and stomach hurt, but in different ways," he answers, frowning. There's a dull ache in his brain, and he feels oddly hollowed out. He crawls out of bed, standing up a little too fast and swaying on the spot. He quickly sits back down again, still feeling lightheaded and unbalanced. He isn't quite awake or quick enough yet to realise there's a perfectly logical explanation for all this.
