James approaches the machine and, blocking Luke's view, attempts to connect to the machine. Somewhat to his surprise, it works just as easily as before. It's an entirely different experience, but the machine talks to him and he understands it. He asks it to make him a card and put a good amount of money on it, and takes it before returning to the barrier.

"Here, I'll spot you," he says, swiping the metrocard and gesturing for Luke to go through first.
