On Gabriel's fourth day with her, they've managed enough of a routine that she's not fussing over him all of the time, or at least pretending not to be. She still has a Doctor to worry about, after all, especially one far too eager to be out and about for her liking, after everything that's happened. It was only after a lot of cajoling and arguing that she finally relinquished the doors this morning so he could go visit some new friend of his, because how can she be sure he'll be fine when she can't see the timelines and the rift could snatch him up at any moment? She doesn't like it at all, but Gabriel doesn't need to be burdened with her concerns either.
So, with her senses turned outward towards the Doctor, she does notice Johnny's approach fairly early on. At first, she thinks he is only taking a walk, but as he draws ever closer she rapidly becomes concerned, then alarmed. What is he doing? Has he forgotten that he can't be here, and that she can't stop what will happen? Is he trying to hurt himself?
By the time he's stepping off the path to climb her little hill, she's staring at him with expectant trepidation and confusion, not unlike the last time he was here. She wants to shrink back when he reaches out to her, desperately doesn't want to hurt him, but she is regrettably rooted to the ground. And then he touches her, and he's fine. She can't understand this any more than any other aspect of his condition, but whatever has changed, it's an immense relief and she doesn't hesitate to open her doors for him.
The console room greets him with bright, joyous sounds while her body hurries to meet him. She enters the room within moments, disbelief still on her face. "John? How are you here? You aren't hurting!"
