Seth frowns sympathetically at the news that Daniel was orphaned at such an early age, and then as his only remaining relative didn't want to help. That's pretty harsh. And since they moved around so much, they probably didn't have any close family friends that could help. Seth wonders vaguely if his dad had taken him in if his mother died. Maybe grudgingly.
