Now that the more pressing issue of what was going on with the Balladeer has been resolved, Greta can turn her attention to the strange animosity between him and Johnny. Since only one of them is in the position to give an understandable explanation, it's Johnny she turns to with a baffled, disapproving frown on her face. But the lad's already in the process of reluctantly backing down, so she just lets her frown linger on him for a moment before turning back to the Balladeer.
"I don't suppose you brought anything sharp?" she asks, a bit sheepishly. If she'd figured things out sooner, she could have told him what they needed before he got here. "I haven't had any luck leaving the Ramble, but maybe we could at least get Johnny out if we had something to cut the vines."
