That must have been scary for her, to get so turned around in what is really not a huge piece of forest. Luckily he's got a good enough sense of direction; he's confident in how to get out himself.

He still doesn't entirely understand what he heard from that man, but he has fragments of dark hallways and spiral staircases, of mazes and ink. "How'd you end up here in the first place?" he asks, careful to keep his tone light. He wants to put more distance between them all before he tries to warn her about Johnny.
