Technically speaking, he hasn't really got a single time period he hails from, but the eighties is the farthest along he ever got. It's simple enough to claim the decade as his own.

He watches Seth type with interest, then leans over to read the message. "Just three weeks? That's inconvenient..." His tone is a little doubtful. It does sound handy to be so close in time, but ten months is a long time for people with actual homes and families and things to be away from them. "I've been here for..."
