Jay doesn't react when the door opens apart from a half-turn of his head. He's been sitting on the bed and staring out the window, not really doing much since he woke up. Part of him is relieved Tim came back. Part of him has been dreading it.
He remains silent. Not sure what to do. What he's allowed to say. If he's ever allowed to speak again. His smallness wore off and so, probably, did Tim's truth issue. But the damage has been done. Nothing he can do will fix it. Nothing he's ever done has ever fixed anything.
Finally he shifts around, chancing a more direct look. Testing the waters, sort of. Maybe he should let Tim speak first. Or maybe he should just do nothing.
