"Things are - different here, they're more complicated." He stops, frustrated, realizing there truly isn't a way of articulating what he is, what he can see. It's bad enough that so much of Johnny is now bared to him, everything he is, and it feels like an unfair invasion of privacy. But he doesn't know how to control this, or shut it off, or any of it, and giving the impression of physically looking away isn't enough to block what his awareness can now detect almost effortlessly.
"The Rift's keeping me from doing a lot of what I could ordinarily do in this state," he continues, frustration tinged with dejection, "and it's making everything - difficult."
