She's intensely relieved when Johnny answers, and even more so when he enters not a minute after and confirms what she's been speculating; symptoms as inconvenient as a sore throat and a fever levered upon beings unaccustomed to coping with such things would take them off guard. Whatever concern she had been steadily nursing dissolves upon contact with Johnny's good-natured levity. Clearly he has been dealing with this sort of occurrence - and Gabe - for much longer than she has.
