"Morning," says Johnny to both of them, bending down to greet Scout. He can't quite look at Seth yet, a little nervous, wondering if Seth will hold any of it against him, and afraid to see his own hollow misery reflected back at him from Seth's eyes. Finally, when he does look up, he's not sure he sees it. Sure, Seth looks tired and like he's been through hell, but there's nothing Johnny can sense. He supposes he made all that up, anyway - the externalization of his nightmares and hallucinations, visible in his eyes... it was probably all in his head. So much of it was in his head.
